Group break canceled

A while ago there were quite a few people interested in doing a group break of mayo. Perhaps the product is just that bad, or nobody actually reads my ramblings. Anyway, after getting a single response from motherscratcher and then nothing but crickets, I am canceling the break and returning the money. It seems my foray into group breaks was quite the failure. I leave this stuff to holy hitter and gellman.

It's the product, Jeff, specifically the bait-and-switch-like action of Topps. It ain't you.

I figured the changes to the checklist did it in. I still can't figure out why people are paying 80+ for these boxes. Prices have slipped substantially in the last week.

I'm personally only after the ships and horses mini cards. it's horrible of Topps to pull the switch they did. keep up the box breaks and if you get a product that more people are interested in you'll have better luck. I'll keep my eyes open for one here...

I'll chime in as well and say that it's just the fact that Mayo was such a crappy product. Honestly, I thought about throwing my hat into the ring on this one but decided against it after seeing a couple breaks.

I'd absolutely be up for something else though. My personal suggestion: a case of 2008 Playoff Absolute.

It's definitely the product. I'm not even considering doing a break of Mayo.

yeah man, if you had posted this at Xmas... I'd have been all in.
Now? Not a chance.
I'll pick up singles dirt cheap in a month.
