This is creepy

First of all I think that grown men that pay a ton of attention to college age guys is creepy enough, but the amount of attention these guys give to high school boys is ever creepier. See this link, then click on "message boards".

I couldn't find the middle school message boards, but I'm sure they are out there.

I don't know, man. High school football is taken very seriously around here (Ohio) and, from what I hear, other parts of the country like Texas and Florida. I never thought the attention given was weird or creepy. Not sure why you get that feeling from rivals.com.

I follow the OSU recruiting fairly closely, and am pretty aware of the area high school teams and players, as well as the top ranked players from other regions that have a chance of coming here.

For example, I was reading today about a bad ass DE named (I'm crappin you negative) Steve Miller, who is coming to OSU. He's apparently a joker, smoker, and midnight toker.

The attention given to these guys (kids, if you like) definately borders on the ridiculous, but it never occured to me that there was anything creepy or pederasty about it.

The message boards are just silly. These guys talking about 14 year old boys starting for their high school teams? Maybe it is different in other parts of the country but that is weird to me.

Yeah, I guess it can be. I clicked on the message boards but didn't really look at any specifically.

I spend most of my time (as far as OSU recruiting goes) on a board that describes possible recruits, mostly seniors, who could end up at OSU. They give 40 times, height, weight, position, etc.

I guess focusing enough on 14 year old boys like that could get a little weird.
