Yeah, no kidding. I'm shocked that this blew up like it did. It was mentioned on Craig Calcaterra's blog over a week ago, then again by A Cardboard Problem a few days later and all of a sudden is was some "Error Card" that was going for a fortune. People do realize that this is just a non-special, base card in Opening Day, right?
Joe is on the money. The news papers can do wierd things to consumers. I remember when phish debued at Jones beach in summer 94, the times had a big article and the crowd was filled with people who were disappointed. serves them right for following the "crowd"

Can't help but think that most auction winners wont even pay for the big ones..
The Philly Daily News ran an article on this on the 8th...I'd fallaciously guess that that's where all the uninformed buyers came from.
