Rip and Flip

It was a disaster. I will have a post that recounts the gorey details.

And to think you had a decent case of 09 Ultimate, imagine if it was a bad case?

I've been thinking about that. SOme of the cases I have seen have two really great hits and then a bunch of crap cards. Maybe having one of those cases is better because those big hits will bring in quite a bit on their own.

Well figure even the crap cards should net you like $8 shipped or so, you get two huge hits that sell for like over $100 each, you are probably right. Something like a Sanchez auto and a real good Legends auto. Ultimate is great for people to buy singles from, I think I have picked up like 6 hits from ultimate for less than the price of a box. The cards are pretty nice, just don't sell worth crap

I thought the Merlin would go for more than it did. In my opinion its the 2nd or 3rd best legends auto.

Even a couple pretty big hits wouldn't have gotten me close to where I needed to be. It really is a fantastic singles set, on card, nice patches. Just a shame. I'll try this again when they hit 25-30 a box, that's about all they are worth. Maybe $20-25 is a better range.

Well I think the Merlin selling for less than expected is due to the whole defensive player deal, just a theory on that. The 6-ways sold mostly for what they normally do. I thought that the 6-way patch might get more. And the ultimate patch auto you got of Bey, if it was of almost any other player, or a good active player, you would have got a ton more for it. And I think if it drops to around $40 a pack, it is worth the gamble at that point.
