I dig the base card design.  Doesn't look to be foil board.  The problem being the $96 MSRP a box, that is just too much.  For that prie their better be a patch and a decent auto per box.
Sweet patch card and idea.  The auto checklist is nice except Michael Ontkean and singer Stompin’ Tom Connors!   Who the hell?

we disagree my friend.

the base card looks like something you'd pull out of a late 90's or early 2000 junk wax. Hmmmm.... kinda like the last donruss hockey product in bargain bins everywhere.

the inserts are tired, and the patch is ripped off from the last two years OPC.

yet another uninspired and overpriced donruss/panini product.

No doubt, OPC and UD have the best hockey products. I also like In The Game too, but this Panini product isn't too bad. I like the design of the "inserts". The Prime patch cards look cool, but the regular patches may be lacking.

I do agree with Captain Canuck about the base cards. Uninspired and so 2000. I wouldn't shell out $96 a box, but I don't think Donruss Hockey is all bad.Could use another auto/memorabilia hit at that price tho.
